Removing Pin Striping

My pin striping was in bad shape, cracking and faded, plus I didn't like the way it looked on my car. Pin striping looks good when your breaking up two colors, not as good on one solid color. While unpacking a box, I found a pin stripe eraser that my dad had bought a little while ago. I chucked it into my power drill and off I went.

It removed the pin striping without problem, but left rubber on the car.

(I know about the scratch, don't know how the hell it happened )

I had some Scratch Doctor lying around, so I tried that. It worked great, finally something Scratch Doctor is good for!

I just wanted to give people looking to remove their pin striping another option then scratching it off with your nail on a hot day. =) (Tip: Do it before you wash your car, that eraser gets everywhere. Ask me how I know )

If it matters to anyone, I bought the eraser at TP Tools.

Re: Removing Pin Striping

I did this on an old boat about 2 weeks ago. Works like magic. Just hit the rubber *lightly* with the eraser again, and it will "erase" the rubber!
