paint removal
What would be the best to use for removing overspray off of a plastic lense without messing up the plastic? A previous owner spray painted the spoiler and now there is black paint on the 3rd brake lense.

Re: paint removal
What about glass? I have another car that somehow got spray paint or something on the windshield. It won't come off with regular window stuff.

NO PAINT THINNER ON PLASTIC. Remember that many paints are Acrylic or Urithane, AKA PLASTIC.
The best thing you can try is some Zippo lighter fluid, Its actually Naptha, and on most plastics it is harmless... I would try a inconspicuous corner first.
Your only other option is to remove the lens and polish them
As for the guy with Paint on his Glass... Laquer thinner should cut it, unless it is an epoxy..

Re: paint removal
like okfoz said, dont use paint thinner, or varsol, or brake cleaner!!!! All three will make the lense go foggy, and you wont be able to correct it.
Use gasoline, i spray painted my firebird nose a couple weeks ago (without masking) and i got the paint all over the turn signal lenses. I put a rag/cloth over a portable gas can's neck, turned the tank over quick, so the cloth caught some gasoline and wiped down all the lenses. Good as new....
