I'm assuming you moved your MAT sensor from the plenum to the intake? Does it perform better that way?

Re: My Baby Finally Broke 100K Miles

I bet for the last few miles, your eyes were glued on the odometer so you could catch the .0, not .1or .2!

Yeah, I just unplugged the one in the plenum....I then ordered the "Birdcage" style MAT sensor, the kind with a little silver resistor inside of a plastic cage, (For air temp.. not the brass one that's stock and meant for coolant) And made a hole in the intake so I could thread in the new sensor. There is absolutely no way that a solid brass sensor inside of an aluminum intake that gets heat soaked is anywhere close to reading the accurate air temperature. I don't have any kind of hard numbers to back up whether it "performs" better, but I will say that even when my car has been running at 190 for a while (Full operating temp for me) It still has that "cold" startup feel and pulls like a ****.....

Trust me I was lol.... I put my camera in my car about 200 miles before I rolled over just so I would have a way to take a picture.... When I got down to like 20 miles before it rolled over, I took a special drive just to get it over the hump and to take a picture.... When it got to the last .5 of a mile, I pulled over on the shoulder with camera in hand creeping along at 2 mph just so I could get my shot
