You might try a product called Oops. Most hardware stores carry it.

1) Hold an ice cube against the gum until it hardens. Then chip away at the gum.

2) Get a can of compressed air. Turn upside down and spray on the gum (turning the can upside down causes the compressed air to freeze). Chip the gum away.

I've found #2 works best. It's faster and no water to soak up. I usually have cans of air around to clean my computer. Good luck.

i dont recommend that . in that compressed air is a type of refrigerant. and it has oils in it. unless its specified cfc free i wouldnt use it. the computer stuff must be cfc free but just check the label.

The subject was about gum. Have you even tried this yourself?! Proven to work in my house on carpet and cloth sofa. I didn't know I had to into details about cfc's on computer, or to state that only use "Non-Flammable/Dust Cleaning/Moisture and Residue Free"... oh, and let's not forget "Non-Ozone Depleting".

Re: gum on seat

Goo Gone. Get it at your hardware store. I got gum ground into the back seat of my '92 Lumina in high school (that's what I get for fooling around in the back seat lol) and the Goo Gone got it right up.

You crack me up. Do you even read the comments? The idiot comment was in regards to Brennan's statement. I want to thank you for proving exactly what I was saying. It's not rocket science, but you're not a science guy. The object (gum) gets cold fast and hardens into a state that can be easily chipped/scraped off. Maybe the stuff use has oil in it because hvac equipment requires a more complicated product. Yes, when shaking the can of air you feel liquid inside. But, when you pull the trigger what comes out...(liquid in can = liquid?) NO... AIR. Just using Co2 will not help remove gum.

Let me throw this down on you home skillet... REFRIGERANT. You would think that working in the hvac field you would at least be able to spell that word. When you can do that, then you can call me an idiot! Now that's attitude

Once again, the subject is about gum removal.
