That poor Camaro! Whoever did that to that car should be band from owning another car in his life. The only good thing on the car are the tailights. I wonder how hard it would be to do that?

If it wasnt for that ugly paint job, I would say it isnt half bad. I usually hate the vette tail lights, but they did a good job on them. The interior has to go as well. I like the headlight mod. If they were to keep it stock, besides the headlight and tail light mods, and paint it black it would look pretty nice. O Yea...I almost forgot...Startrek Sucks A$$.

Okay it's ugly... inside and outside... but the fact that almost all the controls are computer based is neat. I didn't say it's something I'd do... even if I had the money or time, I just think it was a neat idea. I would think that would be hard to do.

I like Star Trek but this goes a little too far for my taste. I like the headlights but thats about it. The computer stuff is EASY to install but pretty weak (as a shifter???? BOARING!). BTW: Rednecks have a hard time UNDERSTANDING Star Trek and thats why they don't like it. It's not their fault the don't get it. Can't we all get along??????

You make programs that control power windows, door locks, and almost anything else?

sounds like someone doesn't like it when people talk bad about star trek....I live in Ga. Am I a *******? I have a friend that has a 4x4 truck on 35s...? I hate star trek, do I qualify as a *******?

I don't know. Are you a *******? You tell me. Correct me if im wrong but not everyone in the south who owns a truck is a *******, correct? I have a truck too. Whats your point? And yes, making software to control almost everything the car does IS pretty easy, if you know what you are doing. It might take a day. Just like rebuilding an engine; Easy, if you know hwat you are doing. Right?

Looked to me like you were taking a shot at rednecks, for all you know, there could be 20 rednecks sitting at one of their houses all watching Star Trek. I'm confused on how you can judge a ******* by star trek.

I don't know. Are you a *******?
No, I don't consider myself one, but I was just curious if you could determine if I was or not, I saw that you could judge the intelligence of a person based on if they watched Star Trek or not, so I figured you might be able to me if I was one.

Correct me if im wrong but not everyone in the south who owns a truck is a *******, correct? I have a truck too.
I wasn't sure once again, you can judge if a person is a ******* by them watching star trek...

And yes, making software to control almost everything the car does IS pretty easy, if you know what you are doing.
I just noticed how you wrote EASY and wasn't sure if the average everyday person could do it. As far as I knew, not many people can do that with some kind of knowledge on computer languages. I'm no expert though, I guess that would be you.

[quote]Just like rebuilding an engine; Easy, if you know hwat you are doing. Right? [quote] Right.

BTW: You can say whatever you like about Star Trek. Where did you get that? All I said was it's hard to like something you don't understand.
I just thought it was interesting that you were accusing a "type" of person of being dumb because they choose not to watch a show.

Well I am proud to be a *******! Say what you want about me but just because I am a ******* doesn't make me dumb. And no I don't like Star Trek, not because I don't understand it, what is there to understand it is boring as hell, just my opinion. Oh and to prove I am a ******* I have 4X4 with some 35" mud tires sitting in the garage right next to my Z28. That is a funny sight maybe I will post some pics some time.

That was what I was saying on my truck comment, your "rednecks" usually have a 4x4 truck jacked up on 35's with a 4" lift or something. Don't worry about the Z28 next to the truck, a friend of mine parks his toyota 4x4 on 35s with mud covering everything but the tailgate next to a 69' SS Chevelle 396 fully restored all but interior. Does look a little funny though.

Well Ions91z28... You seem to have a bit of an inferiority complex. No need to be teste. Its nothing personal. You have missed the point of a simple staement. Since "*******" is a stereotype of dumb people from the country it was a crack at dumb people. Notice that it does not say that ALL people from the country are dumb. Since Star Trek requires at least a bit of intelligence to understand, rednecks won't get it! Plain and simple. And yes, you can judge a lot by what people watch on TV. A person who sits around all day and watches JUDGE JUDY or some **** is going to be lazy, dull, and not olverly inteligent, correct?

And as for:
"I just thought it was interesting that you were accusing a "type" of person of being dumb because they choose not to watch a show."

Again, ******* is not a TYPE of person. Its a stereotype of dumb people from the country. So I am still correct.

And as for the computer crap... Like I said easy if you know what you are doing, but why would you want to do it? Would you rather throw a shifter and mash the accellerator or click the mouse and push the joystick forward?

Don't take stuff so personally. Its only a message board!

Peace!

Lots of hostility here. I can appreciate the all the work they guy did on the car but I dont like the paint job. The computer in it is pretty cool but I can't put stuff like that in my car in my neighborhood.

I'm not teste... when I said "type" I was talking about stereotype. I'm not trying to start ****, I just didn't think it was right to say a "stereotype of people" was dumb. I have nothing against you, and I'm not trying to start ****, I just didn't like the way you worded... as far as the computer programming and what not, not bad. I wish it was easy to me.

How fast is it? I mean does it buckle under warp 9, are the phasers activated, what is the hull strength. The only thing that I think should be trek'd out is an astrovan or something along that line.

Some of you, in my OPINION and maybe you know who you are, got some but ugly wives or girlfriends. I probably would not let them touch my car, being afraid that the ugly would rub on my ride.

But hey... if they make you happy and if you think they are beautiful to you, stay with them. I wouldn't call you *******, dork, stupid, or any other. Your happiness is all that matters. It does not matter to me. I'm not with her. Same with the car. Either you like the car or you don't.

Everyone has their taste. It is alright to give your opinion and it is another thing to be totally pissed at another's preference and to start insulting them. I dont like some of your cars. I also dont call you a dork.

Too much time and money??? That's funny! That's exactly the same thing some of friend's say with me and my car. I know MANY of you spend time on your cars too! We just love them like that. What exactly is enough time and money to you?

Easy or not easy. To some...it's neat. C'mon now, it is not hard to bolt on some wheels and change a few panels. Well...at least to some. Then we think it is ready for a car show!?!

To certain participants: If you consider your car modded just because you changed to a K&N filter...then please dont even bother talking smack.

I personally dont like the style, and I dont like Star Trek, but I still take into consideration that this car definitely has more awards and features than my car. Probably more than many of yours too.

I will give the car and "A" for originality and creativity.

Actually, the joke's on all of you--this was actually a sneak preview of what the 35th Anniversary 2002 Camaro is going to be when unveiled at Carlisle this upcoming weekend. You can either get it in base trim or pay $5000 more and get an autographed Star Trek DVD collection and bumper sticker that reads "I love dorks" Enjoy!

First... Star Trek, I have no preferance.

Second... If you really wanna know if your a ******* go rent a Jeff Foxworthy comedy, he's the resident know it all on the subject.

Third... I have to agree with the too much money and free time, plus the fact that they are trying to sell them! A one of a kind is ok... I guess.

Fourth... They use one of the poopiest OS(operating systems) on the planet, should have used something more stable like Linux or something. Christ, everytime you start the car... booting, then the almight BSOD, and all that stuff you got hooked up to it doesn't work untill you reinstall it! Any one that works with computers should know that one. Blue Screen of Death. Even if it dosen't crash, every time you wanna get out of the damn thing you have to "Shut Down" What the hell is that! Plus pray that you never get any condencation in the car! A flippin tower in the car? A laptop would better save the parts from destruction.

Guess I went a little overboard with the computer stuff.
