I dont know what kind of rims you have but I think they are the snowflake kind.
any way the aluminum is prob. clearcoated and that stuff is REALLY hard to clean. I think I would try some agressive rubbing compound to get the stains out and then some wax for looks.
if you dont have clearcoat or want to get rid of it clean up is easier. just get some mothers or simmilar brand aluminum polish and have at em.
by the way to take off the clearcoat takes like a day with some aircraft paint remover (sold at walmart). well worth it if you ask me. my wheels shine better than they ever did with the clearcoat and are easy to clean.

wow you need to garage that car man - dog ****
now thats disgracefull!

What do you recommend for removing that clear coat on the rims? Mine look ugly as hell and I wanted to sand and polish them but it got too tedius.

After stripping the clear coat and polishing, do you ever add another clear coat, or do you just leave the rim bare metal?

I found the best way was to wetsand with 320 then 400. I have heard of all sorts of chemical stripper but I just couldn't get them to work for me. Make no mistake it IS tedious.... but worth it.

Because of all the pain that removing the clear coat gave me I chose not to re-clearcoat my rims. Makes it easier to touch up later.

I just use straight carnabu wax for protection.
