Re: Post pics of your Street/strip third gen!
Some very nice looking cars posted here.......lol you didn't have a time limit on how long since you have been to the track so I am gonna go with 20yrs ago still counts (ya, ya, ya I know lol but life happened 3 kids and moving 2.5 hours away from the track didn't help)
Here is how it sat last time at the track (1988)

Here is how it sits today

Flrtin1...Your car is So NiCe...and it is great to see a time laps in the photo's like that. Congrads on keeping her this whole time. Its hard to do- like you said life happens.
FastLS1, nice dude I like the stance
Speed88, Man that is a nice launch-great ripples.
Mea83z, love the side pipes.
Stiletto, I love the pulled back look on the cowl hood and the hight is nice. The car does have the best stance I ve seen yet. Great loo
Johnfwz28, Man The front tilt......
. I have always wanted such....and will one day
Everyone has such great rides and the ideals are all great, glad to see so many in such nice shape.
This is mine...

hey BlackTopKing, that flip-up front end is all fiberglass. my son backed into the nose of it one day and put two cracks right in the grill. needless to say, i was not a happy camper when i saw it. but it was an accident so what can i say. hey your bird looks great! what kind of times are you turning?

Re: Post pics of your Street/strip third gen!
Thanks,
That is a bummer with the front. I have seen then on alot of track cars but not to many 3rd gens. Always like the ideal and the look.
I actually run tomorrow at Atco, but Est 11.5 on motor. Maybe a 11.3 with some juice.
I am still under 2000miles on the new motor though, so kinda trying to be EZ...
Keep ya posted and if I make it out there Ill get pics

Here's the street look

Here's the track look (NO DIFFERENCE).

I'm making ALOT of changes this winter like building a new higher compression 383, using a HSR, and upgrading from the P1SC to a F1 Procharger, oh yeah...some slicks too.

No, that was with 100 pills in and I started spraying at the end of second gear on the th400.
118 is my best mph on motor so far. I hooked up the microswitch and threw some VP C12 and a 150 shot in it on 10/16 but the throttle cable broke on me in first gear on my attempt with the nitrous so I guess I'll find out what it will do with the 150 and up next season. but I got my 11.41 @ 118 that night so it wasn't all bad I guess

Re: Post pics of your Street/strip third gen!
thats exactly like my motor. i been 119 on motor and with my rich 150 shot spraying at top of first, i went 125. should go 128 with the new tune. That shot was RICH so it probly wasnt giving me the 150 hp its rated for.
for spraying a 100 shot and at top of 2nd, thats a good gain. You'll be well into the 10's with a 150 and spraying earlier

JohnfwZ28,
I am at a lost for words............... I live in Atlanta, the Stockbridge area and I am currently building an 84 Camaro... My question is; Who fabricated your front end to flip foward. Any more detailed pictures or etc. would be well appreciated! Thank you in advanced.

Here's a couple of mine....
Depending on my mood I might trailer it out there or drive it. Usually at the strip I will run skinnies up front, open the cutout, remove front swaybar, and ice on the intake.

TO THE GUYS THAT HAVE PROSTARS:
I want to get these wheels and I need to know once and for all if I need LONGER wheel studs (and what length) OR if the stock wheel studs will work fine. Half of the people say they have stockers and half say you need longer studs, I need a definitive answer from the people who actually put them on. thanks

I had to switch to the longer studs. Really don't notice them that much with those wheels but with the earlier 15 inch, they stuck out quite a bit.
