B&M console shift boot question

I have a console megashifter and I know not to put armorall on it from what others have said. I didn't put anything on it and i have had it installed for about 5 weeks and it is already starting to crack. I am wondering what I can put on it. Out of desparation I cleaned it with stp cleaner like I use for everything else. I think I am going to have to talk to them about getting a new boot under warranty because that is crazy!

Yeah, I have had one for about the same amount of time and it has started to crack at the top where it fits around the shifter.

Mine is cracking right around the top where it stretches to fit over the top. I don't understand why some people hate the shifter. It is way better than the factory one and I have used the dual gate and it is a POS! I think it all comes down to what you like. I am not a fan of gate action. I like the ratchet. The only prob I am having is with the shift boot.

Mine's been there since April and I just noticed the really tiny cracks along the top where it stretches. I was kinda pissed, but not too surprised since it bakes in the sun every day. I used Black Magic Protectant (or something like that) and I don't know if it hurt but apparently it isn't helping much.
