I had an 82 z28 midnight blue. That was a great color! Even the hood scoop area was painted. It didnt have the black paint. Does anybody know was that the norm in 82? Didn't most Z28's have a diff color in the hood scoop?

Old thread, but I ended up going with Dayton Blue Pearl Metallic and I love the way it turned out.

 

This color is amazing, im so glad mine is this color. I cant wait to do a repaint.

It's hard to find a picture that does it justice but Mazda Deep Crystal Blue Mica is GORGEOUS the way it catches light:



I decided I wanted to do mine a blue-grey a few years ago and in the meantime a bunch of cars have come out with a similar color. Here I am trying to get the color just right on a Big Cat Minibike frame (Part 1 has me mixing the paint, I've previously tried it on a weight lifting power rack with 2x as much blue and it was too blue:

 

 

My vote would be for Ultra Blue Metallic (look in sig), which is also known as Medium Quasar Blue in 1992.
