Tell me what you think is the nicest color of blue.

I decided that i want my maro to be painted blue, dark , light...?

its a 84 camaro z28, no t-roof

 

stock blue 1990 rs i liked it so i kept it probably going to reshoot it myself later down the road. old pics btw ill see if i have new ones.

 

i would have to say Medium Quasar Blue Metallic. That is one of my favorite blues period. -Matt

 

or... bright blue metallic

 

ultra blue metallic is nice too..

 

Car was repainted by the original owner. My guess is that its ultra blue metallic but I need to make sure of it first. Either way here's a pic.

 

That is not Ultra Blue Metallic. That is a few shades darker than UBM. It looks closer to the Navy Blue Metallic found on 4th gens.


My vote would be for Ultra Blue Metallic (look in sig), which is also known as Medium Quasar Blue in 1992.

 

It does look darker than UBM. I'll try and find out if it is indeed Navy Blue Metallic.

When i get around to painting my RS im going to paint it the same color it came from the factory, Medium Maui Blue, I think it looks amazing on my car already, even if the clear is fading and the paint is shot. I believe there is a member on here with a firebird who has a nice medium maui car, its a color i dont see to often.

 

Hmmmm, does it have to be a GM color?

There's a lot of nice blues out there, you just need to pick one you like.

Here's the color I'm doing my truck in, I like it a lot.



And here's what I did my Firebird in.

 

GM's Imperial Blue Mica.....blue in the direct sun.......purple pearl tint in indirect sun and almost purple in cloud cover. Great color...

I know i love the Blue Mica color but my medium maui blue is something you dont see too often, i can only imagine what it looks like totally resprayed with a nice clear. Hopefully i know soon. And i think the best thing about it is i only know two other members on here with the color. As far as i can tell it only came on 89-91 RS's and Formulas.

Love this blue even though its a Chrysler color....

It has a lot of bling to it...

 

'89 Firbirds "Maui Blue" is nice. On a cloudy day it's incredible!

DODGER BLUE BABY!!! I say go with a dark blue, midnight blue is nice! Either way blue IROCS r bad assss!!!

 

I resprayed my 88 bird with the original Maui blue. I like it.

 

Rumblin 70SS, as soon as i saw that color i fell in love with it, ive decided my 88 is bein blue lol. how much does that pearl stuff go for?

I'm with you on that one. I wanna do the same if I ever get enough dough to get my car repainted. My RS used to be Medium Maui Blue, but some owner before me repainted it a darker blue. I was kinda pissed, the original color was so beautiful, and your right- I hardly see any 3rd gens that color. Even way over here in Cali. Not in my part anyway. . .

I would go with 02-03 corvette electron blue....thats what i put on my bird and it is great...

 

Unfortunately I don't know what the name or paint code of the color of my car, previous owner just said it was "midnight blue." I loved it when my paint was in better condition. Looks black at night, and nearly purple in indirect sunlight.

 

My vote would be either Maui Blue or Ultra Blue Metallic.

The Maui Blue that came on the ~87 TA's with the silver ground effects was just a STUNNING combo. Looks beautiful in bright sunlight.

I Used PPG Metallic Blue two stage paint!

 

I'll be honest, I don't have an exact number for the paint, but since its a factory GM offering, it shouldn't be too bad. If you like the color but want something darker with less of the purple and more metallic, Imperial Blue Metallic is a great color too......they are two different GM offerings, which is how I ended up with this color by accident!

im not usually one for light blue, but it looks amazing on your 'bird, Jeff.

 

im gonna paint my car either the same color as rumblin 77s car and have the whole car that color, or im gonna do it like cyars blue with silver ground affects. i like the silver ground effects with a blue car. depending on the lever of blue. cant decide between a medium blue or a dark blue. glad im broke and have plenty of time to think bout it.

 

Thanks, its hard picking the right color i spent days looking a pics and paint samples, and my lower car is painted with a dodge silver, just pick the one you like and go for it!

 

good luck finding the paint code but I LOVE the factory blue available on the TVR Sagaris. It appears to be in between the new vette's jet stream blue and ultra blue metallic. I plan on importing one of these brit rockets as soon as I hit the megabucks

(google has many more pics/info if you've never seen the car by the way, it's one outrageously cool vehicle )

 

 

Its a honda 2005 color, fiji blue. love it!

 

I would say that this is the best looking blue! Love that color.

 

here is mine, but you cant really paint your car in this color, well because it doesnt exist, anywhere but on my car in the world...i made it myself after spending a month at my mixin machine at the shop....i could muster up some more...but it would be a pain in the ***....lol

the only blue i can find for 2005/honda is : ROYAL NAVY BLUE PEARL M.

I hope its the same, because i want also the colorcode.

CANDY cobalt looks good too, but will be more expensive and diff. to spray

 

Check out this firebird. I really like the color of blue on this car. If anyone could tell me what spoiler and wheels it has also, that'd be nice. I'm liking this whole car lol. Nice little race for you guys to enjoy as well.
