I am from Long Island. So is my friend....i think he goes by Chris86RS....sumthin like that. We are both from Suffolk county. I never thought that there were that many people on here from LI. Well, as of right now I am only 16....so I cant really drive on my own, until another month. I cant wait though, in the mean time I am fixing up my car.

the best advice for getting stuff for the driver side door is probably go the the junkyard cause you could get what you want and it will be pretty cheap.

im at bellmore almost every fri. hate those damn bikers. too noisy. and the ricers too.
usually in a black 86 442 or a blue 86 442 with a 3 1/2 inch cowl hood also.

When are the bellmore shows? I used to go to them years ago along with my friend. His dad had a baby blue GTO convertable. I plan on going there soon.

 

I just got my camaro last week, and i missed the show last friday, but i will try to come this friday. My dad complains alot though, he says there is a "bad crowd" there and that "something might happen to me or the car". Bunch of BS! A little toooooo over protective. I will try and be there. We should all have some sort of sign with our name on it showing that we are part of this site.

The show is every friday at the bellmore train station, right by the bellmore playhouse theater. Peopel start showing up around 8 and the crowd grows over the night. Many cops around, and people dont come if there is a chance of rain, the biggest crowds are on sunny and clear sky days.

DO any of you know where i can get my windows tinted(2 side, and rear) for a good price?? I dont really mind how far it is from merrick as long as the pricing is decent. I went to two places and they are asking $225 and $205. post any thoughts, or if anyone can install tints good, then i'll go out and buy the tints, and pay you for installation. Thx

Nothing anywhere near as big as Bellmore, but yes...

 

I had my 87 Grand Am tinted at Jumping Jack's Car Stereo in West Babylon for about $150. Took about 3 hours, looked good, never peeled or turned blue. I had it done in '95 so price may have gone up. Also I think Car Tunes in Amityville/Farmingdale on 110 is reasonable. I think they quoted me about the same to do a 89 Beretta.

 

Yea, I agree, Jumping Jacks is a good place to get your car tinted. They are pretty cheap. I live right near there. Does anybody know about Graffix Dezine. They are a place that makes stickers for cars....such as the ones people put on imports. My friend goes there and gets stickers and stuff, and I heard that they tint for a cheap price as well. They have all different types of tints, including mirror, limo, and tint that fades from blue to black, and that fades from red to black. I am not a fan of the fading tint, but some kids in my High School have it on thier Ford Probes. Graffix Dezine is located either on or near Long Island Ave. in Deer Park.

tones tunes in smithtown does it preety cheep as well. i got my 2 side windows and the top of my winshield for 75 i would say you could get the whole car done for 100-125 its on jericho tpk. in smithtown across the street from mcdonalds.

 

I can give you directions to Jumping Jack's.

Take Sunrise Hwy east all the way to West Babylon. Get off at Route 109 east. About 2 miles down, you will come to a X type intersection. You will see a Hess station in front of you and the high school on your right. Go strait (stay to the left, you'll see when you get there.). The street name I think changes to Little East Neck Rd. At the next light you will see Grandma's Ice Cream and a Friendly's on your right. On your left you will see a NAPA shop. Jumping Jack's is next to NAPA, at the end of the parking lot.

finally guys getting together in the f body capital of the world lol well I am from suffolk on tuesday nights I usually head up to bald hill that's in farmingville they also do it up there on thursdays but tuesdays are much bigger on a nice night it could resemble bellmore and any of you guys looking for parts there is 442 guy and a guy I know frank he is out in medford and his number is 631 207 3163 he has all kinds of 3 gen parts and cars I think he paints too well it's good to see all the li guys checking in maybe we can get something organised would be cool to share info and ideas with each other

 

I'm originally from Long Island (East Northport)..Moved to North Carolina in Jan of 96 and man do i miss NY....been back a few times but not really much..Maybe if I have a F Body gathering to go to it'll give me the motivation to drive up...
