Water spots on t-tops and auto glass

After having tried all the common things recommended like vinegar and water, auto polish, metal polish, cutting and rubbing pastes, CLR, and even WD40 (it was recommended on the website), and being told I would have to have the glass professionally buffed because the spots were not able to be removed any other way, I finally found something that works. I bought some ceramic/glass cook-top cleaner after seeing it recommended in a website on cleaning glass. It works really well, making the glass look like new, and effectively removing all traces of water spots. It still requires a lot of rubbing (it took me 1 1/2 hours to do half the back window and one t-top, so it is not a five minute wonder), but it works really well and is cheap.

I worked with a guy that used pumice powder and mixed it with water into a thick paste. Used it like car wax putting it on and letting it dry and then rubbed it off by hand. It worked for him ... but I don't know where he got it. I wonder what the cooktop cleaner has in it. Either way i'm going to try it. Damn spots!

The website I found the tip on recommended Weiman's Stove Top Cleaner. I used a locally made brand because that was the only one I could find. It is not a quick fix but if you keep at it, it gets rid of all the spots and makes the glass look like new.

I had the same type of water spots that just would not come off. I tried razor blades and steel wool which did nothing. I finally found Glass Scrub which worked very well, but required a lot of elbow grease. Good stuff I recommend it. I found it online, can't remember where.
