stupid brake dust

no matter how hard i scrub my gold lace rims on my trans am the brake dust won't come off completely. i've tried regular wheel cleaner like mothers, and that didn't work at all. now i spend almost a hours scrubbing the wheels by hand and it still all dosen't come off. has anyone used anything that strips the stuff right off. i'm getting lazy and don't want to scrub anymore.lol any ideas would be great

Re: stupid brake dust

P21s wheel gel.

Spray it on, let it sit for a few minutes, agitate it with a brush, let it sit for a few more minutes and rinse.

super clean. don't dilute it. believe me, it works. just don't let it sit for too long.

Re: stupid brake dust

You could try a little rubbing compund or one of the cleaners others have suggested.
When you finally do get it off wax your wheels. They will stay clean longer and they will be easier to clean next time.Good luck!

Re: stupid brake dust

Rubbing compound may work but I wouldn't use it because it might scratch your finish. The brake dust might be burned into the rims. If that is the case it might never come off.
