I am getting ready to sell my camaro. It's an 86 z28. I was just wondering if anybody had any tips to help get the best price out of it. I plan on washing it reall good, doing a good vacume and maybe cleaning the engine bay out good. There is a dent in the passernger side door. Should I leave it or pull, fill it with bondo and primer it? Any other suggestions? Any help is greatly appriciated. Thanks ~ Arnold

 

Definitely clean it up really good. If there's any small fixes you could do, like if one of the vents is cracked or something, do that. Listing it in Autotrader.com is also pretty good I've heard. Why are you selling anyway?

You could put it on E-bay and set a high but reasonable reserve. I have had good luck with E-bay.

 

Thanks for the tips guys. I'm selling it because at the moment, I can only afford one car( college and stuff) and I need a pickup because it will be a lot more useful to me. I really enjoy my camaro but right now it's not really serving any purpose other than a here to there car. When I have more money and a "real" job I'll buy another and that sucker will be faster than hell when I'm done with it:-)
