need some ideas from yall
i'm rebuilding a 357 (bored 40 over) for my 86 iroc z and i'm having trouble deciding how to paint it or if i like the chrome or powder coated look better. post some picks of your kick *** engines for me please. thanks a bunch.

I prefer black paint, simple and looks good, but thats just me.

I just got mine back together. Painted the heads and block black, intake and accessories are/will be red. Pics are kinda grainy since it's my cell, but you can get a good idea of how it looks.

Avoid chrome in the engine bay. Chrome can discolor when exposed to heat. Kind of like how aluminum or steel with turn purple or weird colors when it gets hot from grinding or welding. Polished aluminum is a better choice over chrome in the bay. Also avoid powder-coating the alternator. It tends to not let the alternator dissipate heat very well causing pre-mature failure.
