im gettin paint and cant decide to swap colors or keep the black, i know i have alot of work to do before paint, but yea.... can you guys post up pix of your cars in a veriety of colors, and also combinations, ex my idea was black paint with green accenets like neons, under hood paint, calipars.....dot dot dot

well black is a really hard color to cover up body work, but it can be done,i would go with something no one else has, mix it up a little, but looks like a good car to work with. post pics after your done.

yea, i already went through that, but i just wanted some ideas of what you guys have done, and some color combinations, that thread actually got me to post this, i like the black, its hard to clean, like i wash my car daily, and it sux, and my wheels, wow, they look nice, clean. clean being the key word, if i drive my car around the block it needs to be washed it sucks. i like the red, but its common, and i kinda dont like how it looks on t tops. i was thinking blue, but cant decide what looks good, wich shade, and what color combo.

 

Black is a cool color,it's also the hardest color to keep clean.You could straighten out the body and re-squirt it black,then mix in flat black headlight pockets for a small differance.I love those type of kind of hidden color changes.

 

black is very hard to make look good. you would have to be very good body man. I have a couple pic of my white camaro in my profile. not finished yet but when finished it will be white with black metallic stripes. I work in a paint shop and see lots of different colors every day. Candy apple red with some silver or even pearl white stripes may be nice just some ideas.

 

i looked around and lime green sounded good, but the thing is is that i cant find one pic of a lime green thirdgen, and i googled it and found nothing. i like the black but its just too much hassle, and yes, im a good body guy, i know what im doing and i do it good.

I know I've seen pics of a couple different ones floating around on this site in the past.

 

If your going to paint a different color than the stock one it has now, I recomend to take your time and do it right. Like taking the front and back glass off, the light, trim and paint around the jams etc.. nothing is uglier than to see the old o.g paint around the new different color paint applied example- like wen u open a hood and see a diff. color around the engine bay than the body.
If i was going to paint a car i would paint it a new paint of the same/similar shade color. Like painting it the new black chevy is using, or from other makes.
If you want a different color, i would go 4 a sunset orange or burnt orange that chevy has on there vette's and hummers. Dont go 2tone with these cars, i think they look better in solid color. You can add that color with black trim in wheels, tint and smoked out lights. that would be badass...
