License Plate Mount
Okay fellas. I keep getting f'ed with by the cops because my front license plate is not mounted to the vehicle.
I have an 1984 Firebird base. Where can I find a mounting bracket for this car? I don't wanna damage the nose, but I don't see how I can avoid it.

Re: License Plate Mount
Here ya go....Mine used 2 of the already existing bolts under the nose. I ended up taking them off & my plate is now just up in the windshield.

Re: License Plate Mount
In ny they're just as bad - i usually get hit for that or my tints at least once a season...yet, 5 years later - still tinted windows, still no plate. My suggestions:
1) Suck it up, see it as a cost of driving the car, and leave it off.
2) If you've been to a body shop or 2, or know a friend who works at/owns one - get a receipt (b.s. receipt obviously) for front end repair work (that never happened). Tell them it's an old car - the part is on back order then show the receipt - i've done it, it works.
3) Fab a bracket to go under the front gfx and hold the plate.
good luck - cops suck.

Re: License Plate Mount
I bought a pair of L bracket's from Home Depot for about 4 bucks and mounted it off center(between passenger side fog light and the nose) similar to Stephen post.
