Help! No money and in need of body work.
Help! No money and in need of body work.
Allright. I have an 89 RS hardtop. The clear coat is going and there's too many rust spots and some rot. I want it to look presentable, hell I want it to look beautiful, but I have very little money. because of this horrendous downfall, i have to do most of the body work myself. The car has a few rust spots, one over the gas cap and one underneath the ground effects, mainly. Can someone give me a web site address that'll give me a detailed (as much as it can be) description of the process of fixing the rot under the ground effects and most of the rust. well, what i need is to know how to take off the ground effects and to fix the rot (i.e. use bondo and wire mesh or something like that). Please bear with me, i'm very very new to this. this is my first car and i have no experience with body work. i can get to a pick and pull junkyard to practice, but i'd still appreciate a guide
Thanks in advance,
Mike

) I can't give you a web address, but heres what you need to do. Use fiber glass resain, it works best. Bondo will always crack advently. Go to your local library and check out a book. They HAVE BOOKS ON THIS SUBJECT TRUST ME. This is what i did when I fixed up my 78 Oldsmobile cutlass. I got a book from the library, stupided it and the thing came out nice. LIBRARY IS ALWAYS A BEST BET.
