Sorry, don't know anout the Harwood. Mine was $375 plus shipping from Glasstek. It's more than you plan on spending, but it was well worth the money.

Check out www.up22.com They sell a 3.5 inch cowl that accepts the stock hinges and front latch for $295. That is the cheapest hood I know of that accepts the front latch.

actually, I like cowl hoods. I would have to say quite a few other people do as well. And to say mustang owners like to make their cars look like ****? Maybe you haven't driven on the street... or been near a road. Mustangs (fox style) out number thirdgens in good shape 3 to 1.

hey man remember me.from sportys?anyway, i got mine from speed freaks in amelia. it was a 2 1/2 harwood and it was the latch on kind. i looked all over and that was the cheapest around here. it cost me $439.00 exactly. it didnt fit very well either, the brackets had to be fabbed a bit. well u saw it, u painted it at macco. well i guess that doesnt mean that u saw it.didnt look like u guys even surface sanded. anyway, that is what i paid. hope it helps.oh yeah, dude since u are from cincy, u need to check out this site if u havent already.it is all local guys and we have get to gethers at tri state and edgewater all the time. check it out.

hey man, you are a cincinnati f-body member i take it? i think you just e-mailed me about a mustang paint job. If you find out that you like the harwood, call jegs, they are in columbus so you could pick it up and save the shipping at least.

NO, DO NOT buy a hood from cincinnati composites, they have great prices, but quality is crappy. Three people I know have had problems with bubbling cowl hoods on their mustangs. I am glad they don't make them for the thirdgens or i would have bought one and would be screwed like the rest of the mustang people.

Free Ram Air:
you'll need an old galvanized steel mailbox, and a welding torch. Cut a hole in your hood assuming it is metal, right in the center, to fit the mailbox. Weld the mailbox in place. Tada, ram air.
