clear coat polish killed hood
clear coat polish killed hood
I polished my car with clear coat polish this weekend and now the hood looks like @#*T,and so does the top behind the T-tops. Is this becase it was really faded out before i started or did i do something wrong? Also Is there any way to make it look better? Will a coat of color wax help? Just a question.
or you did it in the sun which magnified the glaze you were putting on and ruined your paint. go talk to a body shops painter and see if he thinks it can be BUFFED not waxed but BUFFED out. that is your only answer

It is the original paint so it is 13 years old. I used no7 clear coat polish, last night when i got home i tryed using turtle wax color match wax and it seemed to help alot. it did cover up alot of the white on the hood so i think a second coat should take care of it. Thanks alot for the replys.
I haven't noticed any black water running off my car but the water did sheet off nicely. Also it did do a pretty good job of the white look to my hood and the two spots behind my T-tops with a couple of coats.
