How should I paint my wheels?

I was thinking of stripping my wheels, polishing them, then painting the lace black and the inside of the lace in red. I have a pic I made of it, I'm not able to post it, but if any one would like to see it, my AOL screen name is TZFBird. Any other ideas or comments are welcome. Thanks for your ideas.
