Re: New Possible Body Kit

In a way it looks good, but a little too over the top for a 3rd gen.

Some aspects of it do look good, but not everything.

Did you do this in PS?

Re: New Possible Body Kit

from the front wheel back i like it, the front vent after the bumper serves no purpose to me and would look better smooth. the spoiler works but i'd rather have the stock high rise. the hood... i've seen similar ones that look better minus the big bulge in front of the scoop.

Re: New Possible Body Kit

yes/ no. Looks good up until you hit the rear wheel, looks like a widebody 240.... especially with the rims... fix that and give it a more factory apperance and itd be good IMO oh and loose the wing! Actually it might look good the way it is with the high rise spoiler on it but i dont know id have to see it

Re: New Possible Body Kit

Something like that would NEED an equally over-the-top interior to go with the exterior. There's no way it would look good with a regular 3rd gen interior. Also, it would need an LS7 or LS9 swap to make it really cool. I can't imagine popping the hood on something that extravagant only to find a TPI or carb'd SBC.

Re: New Possible Body Kit

Definitely wild looking, for sure!!!!! IMO it would sure have to have some strong performance to back up the aggresive looks!!!! Not necessarily my cup of tea for a build project, but I'd betcha it would be a very impressive street machine----if it had the performance package under the hood and in the interior to back it all up!!!!!

Is this something destined for the open market someday?????

Front fender grille is retarded and serves no purpose. Looks like that junk they sell at walmart everyone is putting on their fenders. Hood and front bumper look good. Wide body fenders are too much and would be better left stock. Rear spoiler would look better as the 5" duck lip spoiler or the high rise. I don't think I saw anyone else mention it but the tiny mirrors are horrible. The stock mirrors might be heavier but they look like they belong too.

Nothing wrong with 4th gen 'bird mirrors. They are a litle bigger, look better & both weigh less than even 1 3rd gen mirror.

Look at it as a weight savings mod if you need to!

So a big, bulky mirror glued into a plastic housing that is bolted to the side of the door is better????? IMO the stock 3rd Gen mirrors sticking out from the side of the door resemble a duck with 2 broken wings!!!!!!!

Guess not everyone has the same ideas as to what is good and bad styling!!!!

Re: New Possible Body Kit

You guys are hilarious!

Here is what I think... Well I found that on the web searching for camaro background pics.. It is an artists rendering of his dream camaro.

I kinda like it... But I also think it is a bit too much like a skyline... I would definitely like a wide body on my Z though... With some huge tires it would look really good..

Yes, that is what I said...why do you have so many question marks behind it? So, a skimpy looking mirror that you can hardly see anything out of is better?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? (X1000) I have absolutely NO problem with the thirdgen mirrors.

I hope you aren't just figuring out that last comment out.

I sincerely apologize. I didn't realize I had exceeded my quota of question marks for the day.

My only point was that you like big mirrors, I like little mirrors. Big deal!

I really like alot of it, but it needs a few tweaks.

IROC Daytona hood, OZ Ultraleggera double 6 spokes, and a dovetail spoiler instead of the wing and I'm sold.

Re: New Possible Body Kit

Lose the scoops at the back of the front bumper, put a high rise spoiler on it with some 18" Iroc's, and T-tops, change the hood to either a Big-Block or SS I think it might be alright.

Re: New Possible Body Kit

I haven't decided on what to do to the rear wing. Besides, I know I'n not real good at creating things from scratch. I'm much better at "deleting" & modifying images.

change to 92 ground effects, stock 92 front clip, turbo hood, stock hi-rise spoiler, stock mirrors, and double 5 spoke c6 zo6 rims and that would be perfect imho lol

Re: New Possible Body Kit

I really like this body kit it looks cool, however i could do with out the big wing in the first two designs. Other than that i give it a 5/5 for design quality and 3/5 for originality.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I'd be tempted.. but there's just a little too much "import" influence that shows itself in there, a bit more "muscle car" and you've got me sold. But everyone has their own opinions of what looks good.

Tweek that front bumper/air intake section and do something with that flat hood, maybe a modified cowl, and I would like it more.

Re: New Possible Body Kit

The Last one is getting there. I think the IMSA GT kit is the way to go.

This is the only wide body that looks good

So that leaves the IMSA panels to work with
