attention 92z28SS...a question about your clear side marker lights.

hey, i got a question about the clear side marker lights you made. I went to the junkyard and got some side markers. I then got the amber color off of the side markers by scraping them with a razor blade. Now what? where can i get some clear to use for the lense. I was thinking about using the inside reflector from a front turnsignal...but what did you use? I saw these on ebay, but i don't wanna spend 40 dollars on it.

What about one of those lights that go in a drop ceiling. The clear cover that goes over the lights. I'd try using some of that stuff. Good Luck.

i have some of that for covers on some ugly yellowed turn signals on my brother's camaro. I think it is too thin for what i want. I know this guy made them for his car and they look good. I wanna know how he cut the lense also.

For the lens I did use the inside lens/diffuser from a 85-92 Z28/RS front parking lamp housing . Just get a total junk looking lamp for cheap , the inside will still be good . 1 lamp is all you need for both sides .......if you get the cuts right the first time

Send me a pic when your done

When I did this I was at work , all I had to cut with was a band saw....yes , my hands are steady

Whatever you cut with , make sure it is low speed . A dremel with a cut off wheel will melt the plastic as it cuts ......not good .

Thanks man.. Same to you... very nice car. I'm usually not a fan of white cars just because they don't shine enough to me. But yours more than shines, damn thing looks like a show car. Gorgeous car!
