brushed alum tpi setup
The natural, polished and the painted look are all ok, but I want something different.
The only mod I have for the TPI are SLPs, and would like to have the brushed alum finish to the whole setup.
The first step will be to polish and plenum and runners but from there I have very little info on how to create the brushed look. If I try to do this manually the lines will overlap; hence the turnout will be tacky.
any input?

Scotch brite pads and WD40 for lubricant... there was an article in Popular Hot Rodding where they talked about it. Just too lazy to search for it!
I hear its hard to maintain, and is best when coated with clear powder, or paint.

Re: brushed alum tpi setup
my guess would be use the scotchbrite or steel wool then put a satin or semi gloss clear over it so it would be easier to take care of..
I've been debating doing the same thing actually. Im sick of the stock TPI unit under the hood and dont have the money to put a different setup on it.
