So you think you know your hatches?

So I put an ad on here in the classifieds (https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/exte...-firebird.html), on ebay and on craigslist for a Ferrari style fiberglass hatch.

In my ad, I describe how rare this is and how only three were ever made. I've had a ton of PM's and emails from people stating that they seen a ton of these around. But, when I ask them to post or email me a pic, nobody has the proof. I did find one like it on this forum. The car was black and the insert was missing. That one was the same.

Here's what I received so far and it's not them:

IMHO i don't like any of them , much less your's . the only one that looks decent is the last one on the black bird . but , to each his own . good luck with selling .

Just being rare does not guarantee a high value or make it highly desireable..... Most everything I build is a 1 of 1 car---but unless I run across a guy who likes it more then I do there's probably not going to be a sale of any kind, let alone buyers lining up for the opportunity to pay me what I think the car is worth......same thing goes for parts. It's a matter of having the patience to wait for the one guy to come along who wants it and is willing to pay what you want for it.....

I agree with you 100%. And, I am in no rush to sell the hatch or need to sell it. It's out there now and if the guy who likes it is out there, here's one way to find him.

The purpose of this listing is to find out how rare it really is... So far I have not seen more than two of these hatches. I was told only three existed.

Thanks again,
Rob

I don't think that's fair to the Fiero... The aftermarket notchbacks look more like dog feces... Everyone has their own opinion.
