Anti-fun weather

Ok this is how it's been for weeks here in Santa Fe NM!!! Wouldn't expect this from a desert would you? Well this is my daily driver and I don't have a garage or anything to park it under. A car cover would work ok I guess but that would get redundant after a while. So, seeing as this is an appearance forum, lets see some pics of what weather you have had to deal with and some tips on how you deal with it!

Re: Anti-fun weather

After 15 years in South Dakota, I'm glad to be back in Kansas. It's a bit cold and windy out today, but I was thinking about taking the Formula for a drive...

Here's a couple highlights from SD winters... My solution to the problem can be seen sitting behind the Firebird. 2 wheel drive S10 got around just fine. After I got the V6 Firebird sorted, I sold the S10 and drove the Firebird through 4 or 5 SD winters. Only got stuck when the weather changed before I switched to winter wheels/tires.

Here's 6" of ice... Before the car was running right (I bought it from a junkyard, lol) it got stuck in the parking lot. The rear tires dug into the ice, leaving two of these holes... You can see the liquid water in the bottom along with the gravel that was thrown down for traction in the winter.

Re: Anti-fun weather

Ill have to post up some pics here real soon, were getting a real big dumping on right now here is western michigan. I got a good 10 inches right now in the driveway, but my bird is in the lean-to on the barn, so theres not acually any snow on it, but piling up real good infront of it right now. I got a major drift going that if looking from a level point of the front of the car it actually equals the middle of the front bumper. glad shes somewhat inside. Oh and tips on how to deal with-Wear 2 pairs of socks

Re: Anti-fun weather

We got record snow here in Dallas - I've never seen this much snow here ever. There was 5 to 6" piled up on the car, aero spoilers work great for holding a ton of snow...

normally my car is a daily driver but bc of current carb swap and brand spanking new paint job it's confined to my highschool collision repair shop where I do all the work on it myself. But do to a recent bite of sickness ik missing half my right lung so my friend (now best friend lol) is doing most/all of the work. My doc is tryin to tell me I can't go out into th le shop for another month. Well little does he/ my parents know, I'm goin out there for a lil bit eveyday with a heavy 3M dust mask on and doin a lil work, got my air cleaner stud cut down so it won't poke a hole in my hood and I got my antenna shaved on my new fender. But anyways I was originally hopin to have it done by the end of February so I could get to play in the snow but it don't look like she'll be done next month :'(

Re: Anti-fun weather

No snow here in Canada BC (Vancouver Island). We did have about three inches or so in November but that melted in a few days, didn't even last a week and it hasn't snowed since. It surprisingly hasn't been raining much either, not until the past couple of days.
