one peice headlight options
I have done some searching and I have seen the popular BMW headlight conversion. Below is a picture from a 300zx and but is a crazy clean car overall

I have also heard about mid 90's silverado headlights?
anyone else done headlight conversion, which is the easier/best fit

Well whoever it was had alot of time, money and skill. This is a top notch job from the ground up. There were tons of pictures but now only a couple on the website. It has everything from custom seats in Star Trek bridge style, and onboard computer complete with trackball mouse. A custom paint job with and signed by TNG cast under the hood. Truly an amazing job.
This is about the lights, which.....are flawless, at least from the pictures I have

yeah i mean its amazing work. but just... not my style. ill tip my hat to the detail and construction, im just saying i would have gone a different route. its his/her vehicle and im sure they love it.
back to the headlights and the main point, its actually really nice and i really like it. more aerodynamic. its something i would i do for sure.

That galaxy camaro is somethin else....amazing detail but i would never drive it...
I'm really curious about those headlights though. They just look so clean. I'm guessing their custom? but I've emailed the owner so I'll let you guys know if they get back to me

Re: one peice headlight options
They are 300zx lights, but to be sure all the mounting is custom and fabrication. The hood opens reverse so all the hood from nose cone to rad support looks to be one peice
I like the silverado headlights, Did you have clearance problems with the hood and the fenders not matching up? what about the rad support? any cutting involved?

Can you post more up-close pictures of those silverado lights please? I really like those and am curious how clean the install would look up close and in person so I can decide if I want to try something like that.
As for the galaxy garbage posted above... Yuck. It has way too much going on. Orange and blue shouldn't be on the same Camaro and it has both on the front clip.

Re: one peice headlight options
I remember several years ago there was lots of talk of using the silverado headlights, is it from the mid 90's 1500's? I would also like to see some closer pics. Also if you were to post the step by step my vote would be to sticky
and for the record, They had to have the orange. It's a deflector array and a very important piece of equipment.
I know it's cheesy and stupid, but it's obviously a guy who loves 3rd gens enough to put the work into it, and loves star trek(thought that may be his downfall) and combined the 2. Overdone sure.....but don't you wish you could put that much time and work into your third gen? I know I do

The Galaxy Camaro....Its one thing to put something (the 300ZX lights) on a show car, but another to actually have the custom piece function.
For all we know, they aren't even wired in, much less put out good light from the Camaro nose. Maybe they are great? Maybe not.
As for C/K series lights.....Fatal88 did that in the early to mid 90s....

Re: one peice headlight options
Well we don't know if they work, or put out good light.
In the galaxy class he did have a functional computer, not a great one, but still functional which is impressive for the time in it's own right, so I'm assuming the lights are wired in, but again GCC is neither here nor there, I was looking at the light jobs.
I know that the silverado lights had been done, at the time on the boards I was trying looking at this information and it wasn't wide spread just a few people had tried it. Now I'm looking for
A. degree of difficulty,
B. anyone who has really gotten creative such as 300zx lights
as for Fatal88.....holy crow, amazing

Nah. That was just polish & pint, besides the 4th gen dash which he was probably the FIRST to do it.
Now....His LS1 swap? THAT was amazing! Certainly not your typical engine swap. I've certainly never seen another swap like it. Neil's quarter panel work is real nice, but I have yet to see any other 3rd gen that rivals Fatal.

Some of the guys on this board are so good....it's stupid.
what was amazing is the attention to detail in the metal work, from the headlight housing all the way back
Cars like that are what detail and appearance is all about.

yes, I saw that car in all its transitions, way back in the 80's .He had a big shop to do all that work (not like the rest of us) plus the rest of the car was lacking.Thats why I wanted a complete car front to back as seen at 1 RAPID 1 .!!!!

Re: one peice headlight options
I don't think that Fatal88's headlights are C/K truck lights. At least not the same ones as the one's pictured (halo/projector lights).
I think that he actually used early 90's Caprice headlights. Look at the width of the lights and how Fatal88's fit nicely between the nose and notice that there is no gap; unlike the Silverado/Sierra lights.
I think that he actually used this style:

My vote though is for the BMW lights; they look absolutely badass.

I think you're right about them not being c/k lights, but I'm not sure is they're the caprice lights or not.

For a very long time I've been thinking about what headlights would look really good on my Camaro. I really want to modernize the car, but keep its classic style. I think the headlights are definitely one of the items that needs an upgrade. UDAMON, those lights are growing on me! I still have quite a bit of time before I make a move on them since I'm restoring the car now, but its food for thought for sure!

they look to corsica or lumina(car) headlights......also if any one is interested i have the grille off my 1990 silverado k1500 right now and could see about taking pictures of how the whole bracket on the headlight looks. maybe this could help others to figure out the mod for themselves.

Re: one peice headlight options
i'm going to tryout a pair of 95 oldsmobile cutlass cierra that i got at the bone yard today. i'll try and get pictures up here tomorrow so everyone can see how they look. one thing that i like about them is they are 3/16" taller and 1/4" wider than the 88-98 c/k truck lights. also they have a 4 bolt mounting bracket that bolts through the front. down side front bumper cover would have to be removed to modify the headlight panel to mount them.

I'm alittle late to the party, but yeah, I remember seeing Fatal's car in Super Chevy back in '99 or so and that they were Monte Carlo headlights. I really dug the light grey interior he had in there at the time, particularly the custom center console.

I didn't think those were C/K lights in the pic stephen posted, the C/K lights are a little narrow for the thirdgen opening.

I wonder if there are halo projectors for the 88 Monte Carlo, that would look sick, not that UDAMON's don't look good. If there aren't any the Silverados would work just fine. Most people wouldn't notice the gap anyways.
