No, that's a Cervinis Ram Air hood. It looks a lot better when it's all one color.
The one in the second pic looks like a Harwood 4" cowl, but all cowl hoods look the same to me.

 

anyone know what the advantage of a cowl hood is...please tell me

If you have an open element air filter a cowl induction hood increases cool air and "ram air" effect of wind coming off the windshield and into the cowl. Also for clearance on high rise intake manifolds.

 

Cowl hoods are effectively open at the back (nearest the windscreen) so that the engine can suck in fresh air. Also at speed the aerodynamics push air in to the engine bay feeding nice cool air into the thirsty carb

I think the cervini looks good in a solid color. But I think black with hugger orange lines like where the yellow is would look good what do you guys think?
