HID help

i am new to this.
i have seen the ebay h4 glass housings for 35 dollars,
they look good,
but are these the HID's?
o and my lights are stock.
i just want to get good HID's
for a cheap price

You're probably looking at what is called conversion housings. The camaro has stock sealed beam headlights, these conversion headlights allow an H4 bulb to be used in them. If a sealed beam headlight burns out, you have to pull out the entire glass housing and throw it away. If you have those conversion lenses, then you just change out the bulb like a newer car would.

HIDs are the High Intensity Discharge bulb systems.

I have HIDs in my camaro and while it might not be a "true HID setup" like most pretentious people say, it works quite well without blinding other people. I have the 4"x6" glass housing H4 conversion, along with the HID system from this company:

The main complaint with setups like the one above is that the light is so bright inside the housing that it goes everywhere, including oncoming traffic's eyes. To prevent that, I also installed these:

Long post, I know. I've been using the HID kit from that company for the last 5 years and not one problem. Installed 6 kits in friends cars and doing another this weekend. Post anymore questions you might have.
