Rims

What's up everybody. I'm lookin to get someafter market rims for my '92 thirdgen. I've done some checkin around and I've heard that the biggest I can go is 17x9.5-which is fine-but I wanted to know if that was synonomous w/ everybody elses knowledge-I trust you all more than most people. And another thing-is there anyway I can get around the blasted 5/4.75 bolt pattern? Is that even the pattern-that's what I've heard-but just makin sure. There's been some pretty smooth rims that I've seen that don't have my pattern-pisses me off. Thanks

Yep, that's the bolt pattern... I don't think anyone in here has 17" rims; unless they do, you'd be better off asking on the suspension or appearance boards...

Dude we have one of the most common bolt patterns ever. Hell Wheels from a 57 Chevy will bolt onto our cars. You should have no problem finding rims that fit our cars. Unles you are looking at import wheels... which are mostly crappy 4 lugs with no strength.
Also dont for get the offset on our cars. You need to make sure that the wheels are made for the offset. If not they will stick out all gansta like.

86 Trans Am w/ built 355TPI with SLP goodies and too much other stuff to List. One sweet *** car, wish I would have had a good enough Job to pay insurance on three cars so I could keep it, but for a 89 Turbo Trans Am w/ Low miles, I think I made the right choice!

With a little time and money, you can make the rally rims look pretty sharp. Thats what I did with my brothers on his b-day. PS thats my car not his.

Are you saying that we can fit 17x11 on our cars with no problems. I was told by a aftermarket rim dude that the widest we can put on our cars is like 8.5 or 9. Dont rememebr which one he said. If he was wrong that would be awesome. PLease, someone explain it to me!!!
