Daz, how much detail, what type of paint do you want? Powdercoat? I don't remember what they look like either.
Right off the bat you should strip the clearcoat off the rims. I use a bodyshop paint stripper. Its technically not available to the public, but if you know where to go, you can find any kind of chems.
Some more info would be of much help.
