where can i find cheap paint?

i have a 92 camaro in medium quasar blue metallic, i love the color so i plan to spray the car in the same color, maybe add a lil more metal flake in the process, idk yet, but im just in the stages of pricing for now. car is originally a florida car, so the clear in most spots has come off, and even some of the paint to start surface rust, but thats the worst the rust is on the whole car (amazing the car is in ohio now!) anywho, thats besides the point, im just tired of rollin around in a car that looks crappy. im lookin for any info from anything to where i can find paint and prices, to the best kind of paint to use, or any tips, i was thinkin of using a urathane base and a seperate clear so i can add extra coats of clear to make it really shine. also id like some opinions and maybe colors for stripes, i was thinkin black, silver or white for the stripes, which arent originally on the car, but i like the ralleye stripes, so im gonna add em. anywho, any advice and insight is always appreciated, and as always thanks in advance.

Summit's paint is really good especially for the price..... Wal-mart has some cheap paint.... Check out gallespie (don't know the exact spelling) Its a cheaper single stage paint, but with some wet sanding and buffing it looks in friggin credible. You can literally read a book in the reflection.

Re: where can i find cheap paint?

do a search on the boards this topic has been covered for years...

let me give you some advice and tell you to just drive the car and enjoy it for what it is. If your serious about doing some home painting just search the web. plenty of info. don't dump money into the car until you can afford to move out of the house.

Re: where can i find cheap paint?

Any auto paint jobber can mix that color for you, if you don't want to drop $800 for paint look into Nason(Dupont) or Omni(PPG) both are still good quality paints with a budget in mind. Most Orielly auto parts can mix Nason paints on the spot, just need the paint code and type of paint you want. Last time I used Orielly for Nason urethane primer, metallic base and clear I remember about $400.

If $400 is too much look at this link:

Not a GM factory color but close to Medium Quasar blue, good paint and clear at an excellent price.
