I think that you should go bigger than stock or else they won't look that great. I used to work at belle tire and all the cars that went with bigger wheels looked better. What kind do you want? chrome? Silver? Try to go with at least 17. 18's I think would be better. I want to get 18's or 19's when I get the cash.

i like chrome or polished style. 15s and 16s are nice in my opinion, but if the 17-18s look ok, ill probably get them. i like the Progressive Pro 58 and Pro 278.

sometimes wheels look different in the magazine advertisement than on the car. ive learned that the hard way

This month's Super Chevy has a 91 or 92 shown with the Torque Thrust rims. I'm still deciding if it's what I want for my car, but I definately do like how they look if they are 17" or maybe 18". Any bigger or smaller looks goofy.

if u have an IROC, or even if u dont,
check out: http://www.zenetti.com/

they make a great IROC 18" wheel and I think that they are only about 200 each.

Dont waste your time with 15" rims, the bigger the better for performance and looks.

Guido, how much do you want for the SS rims?? (they are 17" right??)

you might want to talk to some other thirdgeners before you go for 18's on your car. I here its a pain in the a$$ to get the car to sit right. I just went with the 16" chrome IROC's cuz they fit easy and dont have any problems. I wouldnt go any bigger than 17's. Just my opinion, its your car though so do what you like

Try the Eagle Alloy style #203's... they look kick-awesome on our third gens I have some 16x8'' with 4.5''front/5''rear backspacing, they fit like stocks, actually the fronts are 2mm off or something... biggy~ http://www.americaneaglewheels.com

Hey here is the Super Chevy article..
17"
frnt..17x8 4.5" backspacing 255/40r17
rear..17x8 4.5" backspacing 255/40r17

frnt..17x8 4.5" bs 255/40r17
rear..17x9.5 5.5 bs 285/40r17

frnt..17x9.5 5.5bs 275/40r17*
rear..17x9.5 5.5bs 275/40r17
*may require a small amount of grinding on the tie rod ends.. matters on the wheel and its clearance..

those are your best options. and i personally wouldnt go any bigger than 17" especially if you lower your car..

those measurements are with the car lowered 1"

and the TORQ THRUSTS dont look that good on our cars. there are better..but its all personal opinions.

Jaguar and Aston Martin wheels have the same stud pattern as 3rd gen cars, they have some good looking wheels out at the moment. I have 18" Aston wheels on my '86 T/A.

CRAGARS look reallllll sweet along w/ most of what everyone else said. Real "old" muscle car looks give a third-gen one mean *** look. Get 15's in the rear so you can put a tall tire (perhaps drag radial) on them in the future. And 15's or 14's for an aggressive stance. I don't know how to post pic's either

CRAGAR drag wheels. Lowered 2.25" in front and 1.5" in rear....Best E/T 12.84 @109 mph...(got spray?)plus more!!

I meant "15's or 14's" for the front. And 15's in the rear.

Hey Andy

I know this isn't the right subject for this question, but what happened to the 1LE boards? Steve Spohn's board and the 1LE brake bracket boards are gone. Thanks!
