Which to choose SS hood or 4" Cowl Induction hood? On a 92 Z-28 pic inside

Which hood would look the meanest on my car, SS or cowl induction?

SS hood is sweet, clean, and bad @$$.... 4" hood is too big, imho it looks crappy on thirdgens and belongs on boxes like monte carlos...... the best size cowl is the one chuck everly had on his old RS i think it was 2.75" SOMEONE POST A PIC!!

this is the best hood,

If I could find one of these already black and glossy in excellent shape, I'd buy it for my black 89 RS.

why are you buying a hood for a car you are selling?

------------------
I WOULD RATHER PUSH A CAMARO THAN DRIVE AN IMPORT

1983Z28 350w/ edelbrock performer RPM power package , dynomax shorty headers, 700R-4 with shift kit, 750cfm carb, edelbrock 3" exhaust system, 16" IROC rims and ASCD SS hood.

future mods:
completely done over suspension, black paint with flames,
T-56 almost ready to go in, TPI swap coming up

Wifes new car:

95Z28, AT, leather, T-tops bone stock for now.

future mods:
header to tailpipe replacement and a cold air intake. Then I am just going to leave it alone

Is your car a original 5.7 ttop car, new engine, C&C or other aftermarket ttop car? Just curious. And my vote is for the SS.

RODS92Z I wouldn't replace the hood. If I ever get rid of my T/A a 92Z is what I want because they look soooo smooth. Especially an Anniversary Edition I'd keep it as stock as possible but that's just me.

I like the 91-92 Z-28 hood as well. If you really want a new hood, I'd go with the SS hood, they look so mean.

I have the same dilemma about the hood for my 91 RS, there is a 91-92 Z28 around town that has a 4" cowl, and it looks badass, but both the stock and the SS hood look great also. Personally I prefer the SS hood.

I think the 4" cowl is WAY too big. It just doesn't look right. Chuck's cowl was awesome. If I were you, I'f put the SS hood on, I like that one a lot.

My fiance talked me into keeping it. So it is no longer for sale, unless I can get a hell of a deal on it.

LOL. Not this again! I replaced the 305 for a 350. And as far is keeping the car original, the only thing original on it is the interior and rearend and of course the rims.

Personally I like the 4" cowl hood. I think it depends on the rake of the car. It does look too big on a car that is pretty much level. However, if the car is up slightly in the rear I think it looks fine. I'm probably biased since I have a 4" Glasstek cowl on my car.

Seems like a lot of people like the SS hood, and that gets my vote as well. Not only does it make your car look threatening , you can make it functional as both a ram air hood and cowl induction (I believe). The 4" cowl hoods just seem too big on our cars; it tends to break the lines of the body too much.

Just my two cents.

JMO, but if it is in the cards to consider the old 69 Z cowl ... what was it 2" or something the one that had 302 on the side, now that was the best looking cowl I have every seen.

But if it a choice of 4" or SS and(stock has to go) I would go SS.
