winter prep (no garage)

didnt know where else to put this and wasnt getting any hits on the Ontario page.........soooooo.

What do you guys suggest I do.......I know I have a bit of time before the car comes off but I want to mabey start getting ready anyway.
Right now I have a little (deck) that I have made out of pressure treated 2x6 its big enough for the car to sit on as I also have no paved driveway.
But what else do I need to do jack it up as well? mothballs for mice????????????? dude they smell bad. is there anything else I can use.
engine and battery wise whats up there. cover or no cover?????

Why not get some PVC pipe and some thick plastic tarp or one of those blue tarps and make you a little garage? I dont live around snow season but thats what i would do. Shouldn't cost 50-60 bucks and if done right is nice and sturdy.

just a thought

Here is what I do but I live in IL so it is a lot colder up where you are. Full the gas tank and put in some type of fuel stabilizer. Check the antifreeze and make sure it is up to par. Put the car on a cheap set of jack stands and let some of the air out of the tires. Disconnect the battery and take it indoors. Finally I put a car cover over it and make sure it is tied down well enough that the winds won't take it off. Hope that helps

what kind of cover do you use.........is it a breathable one does that matter I have heard if its not moisture gets trapped in. Also I live right along the lake so winds are very high at times will the cover cause a sand paper like effect?

The cover I have is fabric so that is can breath if need be but it is nothing fancy . I would go get some bungee cord and use that to make sure it doesn't come off
