It looks great so far.
Keep the chrome rims chrome, im my opinion.
Once you black out the headlight buckets, have the orange turn signals and install the grill - then take another look at it.

I agree with the hood stripes, but not too bright of red.
A bright red is too loud against an already loud bright white paint.

An SS hood in the future?
You already wasted time and paint on the original hood.
You will ahve to paint the SS hood as well.
The stripes on the hood you have is not much more of a waste.

Are you going to tint the windows ?
If so keep the rims chrome.
Rims black and windows dark are too much for a white car.
The chrome helps break it up.

It does look good, keep up the good work!

I know on my car I want it white with black hood. Black 5 inch hawks spoiler. black rims. black tinted windows. it will have white headlight buckets. black grille. It's going to be awesome and I wont care if anyone else likes it!

 

Options welcomed, I was gonna do some red heritage stripes but Im gonna try and get an SS hood sometime this year so I don't wanna waste the money on those when the hood will be gone soon.

I'll be painting the buckets black on my next day off. Then im gonna try and order some heritage stripes in either the black or red.

As for the windows they'll get tinted soon or later but they not at the top of the list, and the ss hood too is at the bottom. I'll get one if I happen to come across one cheap local. if not im stickin with the stock hood.

Black heritage stripes, black wheels with polished lip FTW. Oh, don't paint the headlight pockets. My 2 cents.

 

Have you considered a metallic orange stripe without the wheels black? I like the wheels the way they are =)

that looks good man. I like that treatment. Hockey stripes don't work well on these cars IMO...

 

You answered it yourself, Look's great, not too loud, but it stands out in a crowd, I love white Thirdgens.

I just painted the inserts(windows) black. Im gonna get pictures but too busy driving it. Feels good to be getting compliments every time I stop for something.

I'll get some pictures of the car tomorrow.

 

i like 2 or 1. the zo6's arent my favorite but its not my car. and the stripes never follow the lines of the car, now if you pulled that off then id be all for it

I prefer the current wheels to the black ones. I would like to see the chrome wheels w/the hockey stripe if you can make one of those photos.

Is that Valspar??? think I read that somewhere.... I have a gallon and I am anxious to paint my 89 vert. Good to see another car painted in the gloss white!!! Gives me an idea of how mine might look!

holy crap, i think thats one of the brightest white iv ever seen lol. very nice. and i would go with picture #1. chrome compliments white very well. and hockey stripes are tacky, and take away from an already beautifuly designed body!! your car looks realy realy realy sqeaky clean white lol, but i would deffinatly paint the headlight buckets and grille black.
