I have a goodmark 2.5 cowl. I love it but it is steel and some prefer the fiberglass. Bolts right on and looks great.

Re: Best Cowl hoods
I guess if my fiberglass/carbonfibre hood attempt fails I´ll definately invest my money in the goodmark cowl hood shown here.
For street use I do not see a lot of benefit in full fiberglass hoods. Steel hoods are just more durable for everyday use.

that's what I was thinking too. And it didn't help that I bought it 2nd hand from someone desperate for money. Sometimes I have good luck!

I have a 3inch bolt on fiberglass hood made by Harwood. Its light but i had to make a hood prop because the shocks were stressing the hood too much when it was closed. Here's a photo

I have an Unlimited products fiberglass and it sucks, crooked as hell, unfinished bottom, with a two month wait.

Re: Best Cowl hoods
whats the weight difference from the 2" steel cowl and the stock Iroc Hood?
I will admit i loved the SS hood and stock iroc Hood.. but That 2" Cowl with the stripes half on and half off looks great. Now i have 3 hoods to decide over

Re: Best Cowl hoods
over a stock iroc hood? it is minimal weight difference. this hood is only a few pounds more than a stock rs hood for sure. I love it.
