custom taillights, "pontiac"

This is by far the coolest centerpiece for t/a tail lights ive ever seen. Anyone have any ideas how to fabricate something like this, or even just opinions on the piece? BTW, those wheels look tight, too.

Those were standard tailights for the convertibles. As for the Firehawk rims it was added I guess,Firehawks didn't have the Aero package, right?

That's the ONLY Trans-Am Firehawk ever produced (except the new ones). Very, very, very rare car. Somebody wanted a Firehawk convert, and since there were no convertable Formulas, it was made as a Trans Am.

Yep , Pontiac magazine did a full feature on this car . It had every Firehawk option including the aluminum block , hood and roll bar

Slickroc- Those wheels are Ronal wheels , and they are no longer made And the tail lights were on every 91-92 trans am and GTA .

Hm. I suppose i should have done a little research on the tail light piece. Anyways, will that bolt up to earlier 85-90 or 82-84 cars?

Hey Slickrock ..well those lights have no centerpiece its only two pieces like the Pontiac Fiero Taillights ..i ve never seen those taillights lighted up i wonder they look wird cause turn signals are on the side maybe the whole red part is not so long as 86-90 base bird and Formula tails.
Someone please post 91-92 T/As tails lighten up please and turning

I used to have a 91 GTA . The outer box is the turn signal in amber , then theres 2 boxes that light up red and a thinner portion for the back up lights .

That car is awesome. Now I know what my car would look like with firehawk rims and a black top. I have some questions though. Anybody know what's up with the hood vents and the single side exhaust. The car is great, I was wondering if anyone has info about the differences. And it would be great to see more pictures of this car if anyone has them. I would really like to see how they put the cage in and get a look at the hood from another angle.

The car has an aluminum Formula hood and that is the SLP 2 on the left exhaust system. It is on display in Tennesee at Floyd Garretts muscle car museum. Floyd basically gave them a blank check and said "I want this car to be as rare as possible". I have the HPP article somewhere. I could probably scan it if anyone wants it.

The single side exhuast is SLPs exhaust system. They claimed it made more power coming out one end. Happens to be the one I have as well. Well, B&B before long..but SLP right now.

Well, I guess this makes Floyd "The Man." I think these are some of the best tail lights that were ever put on a Firebird or TA. They have the blackout look but are factory. I tried the mod to make them clear by removing the colored inserts and didn't like it. I didn't like the look on a red car. I also love the firehawk rims because the colored accents tie the whole car together. I'll have to go check out that museum sometime. That is definitely my new dream car. Dream on I guess.
