I wanted to post this here, because I know alot people have Camaros/Firebirds with REALLY bad finishes. So before you reach for the Rustoleum and roller or rattle can primer, check this thread out:

Very Impressive! I'm no expert but my plan of attack would have been wet-sanding, cutting with medium and then fine-cut cleaner, rubbing compound, polish, and then wax. That was quite an intimidating job! Outstanding!

I've posted a couple of 3rd gens from that site, but this particular one was the most dramatic turn around I've seen. Of course this guy is a pro and he's got about 27 man hours in it, but still.
Maybe this might inspire afew folks to give it a shot, (or even pay a pro to do it) on their 3rd gens.

i did this to my car and it works well, i wouldn't call it a fix, but it will give your paint a few more years if you really take care of it
