Hood options for '91 Firebird?
I was originally thinking of getting a Ram Air II hood because of the aggressive look. I know some can't stand them, but if done right I think they look pretty mean.
I've mostly decided against it, I think, due in large part to the additional cost not being worth it when the car needs so many other things. I am now considering a Hood Bird decal (single color, maybe silver) or some type of stripes. Problem is, I can't find a lot of good pictures of the different options and how they might look on a regular hood. My hood doesn't have vents or the power bulge or anything.
Could some members post pics of hood birds or stripes (etc) that might help me decide?
Thanks!

IIRC, some of the '87 and older birds had the screaming chicken on the hood. Try searching for images of those model years.

I've done a ton of searching, but most of what I can find in a 3rd gen are TA's with TA hood vents, or Ram Air hoods, etc. Nothing with a late 3rd gen with the regular hood. Also, I'm not sure I'll do a bird, but it seems to need something.

I think 91 and 92 birds look really nice with the Ram Air 1 hood (the lines match the front nose well on those years) and the Bulge Hood. If you decide to go with a hood bird, check out this page- http://www.phoenixgraphics.com/gm.htm#trans_am The 1987 kit has an option to buy just the hood bird for $139

i looking into a hood for my 92 as well, im still debating over the RA1, a fiberglass powerbulge, or a IMSA style hood.
never seen a 91-92 with a hood bird, dont think it would look bad, but i dont think i would do it to my car.

I'm just not sure the RA I hood is aggressive-looking enough. It does follow the lines of the car a bit better, but I also don't like that it's just one solid hood bulge. Looks nothing like the original RA from the 60's.
