4th gen coolant bottle need pics of battery tray
I did the swap on my 85 last year before I found a unmolested shell and is super clean. So i want to do the mod again but the hole i cut last time was crazy huge. I really dont want to do that again. Ive read all the threads on here but in all of them no one posts a pic of just the hole in the tray. If you have a pic of the hole then with the bottle in it would be appreciated. Thanks

thank for the pics but I need one of the passenger side as mine will be on that side. The hole I did for mine was way longer than that. Maybe i screwed up tho.
in the second pic it looks like you raised the battery tray. What did you use??
Anyone else have pics

Re: 4th gen coolant bottle need pics of battery tray
The hole needed for the reservoir to fit down in the tray is teardrop shaped. I made a cardboard template to fit the coolant reservoir snugly for Pills car then transferred it to some sheetmetal. That was then trimmed to fit the battery tray area. It's kind of temporary as his tray was rotted out and, since his was modded to work on the opposite side, it didn't sit properly in the tray area as well.
