on an unrestored, totally factory engine bay, what color are the hinges? I've seen so many of them painted, but I've seen black ones too.

same question for the hood safety release and the spring, which I've seen silver, body color, and black...

 

I think the hood release should be black, along with the spring. As far as I know, the hinges are body color.

 

mine are all body color.

Hood hinges and safety latch come body color. The spring comes not painted, just raw metal.
