New Paint, side moldings removed & Engine Bay Clean Up

Hey Guys,

I got a new paint job on the Trans Am! Its a 2 Stage Job. I removed the side moldings and I think it looks cleaner. The Body Shop guys broke the worm gear on the pull down motor, so thats why the trunk lid is not fully closed. I bought the worm gear on ebay and replaced and works fine again.

What do you guys think?

Engine Bay Pica are before the paint job. I removed all the AC equipment and cleaned up the engine bay. I re-routed a lot of wires, so all you see is just a nice TPI I need is an AC Delete Box though. I know the hose from the TB to Valve cover is ugly and I am looking for an OEM replacement if anyone has one.

Spark Plug Cables are routed under the headers.

Injector Harness is routed behind the runners.

Coolant reservoir replaced with a small Summit Catch Can

TB coolant By-Passed

New Paint Job

Looks good very good!

I would mask off the engine bay & try to even some of the black.

The engine bay pics were before the paint job.

Looks awesome! I think firebirds look better without the side moulding on the doors.

Why is your passenger side of the engine lower?

Maybe an optical illusion on the angle of the pic? Motor mounts were replaced when we dropped in the engine. Unless one motor mount is higher that the other. Now that you bring that up, I'm going to look in to it.

Thank you for the pics of your engine bay,I was considering painting mine black, now that I saw how it will look I'm going to keep mine white. Not that it looks ugly or anything,It's just to dark. I think you did a good job. It's just a matter of preference.

You're welcome. I did want to keep it white, but it's really hard to keep it clean, smudge wise. The last pic is after the paint job and they sprayed it all black. The 1st ones were right after we dropped in the engine, so it looks oversprayed as it was mentioned earlier.

Thanks for the input
