How Big?

Ok guys heres the deal. On my car i wanna run big fat street legel drag slicks. But here is the problem. I dont know any thing about tire size and how it relates to wheel size. And i also dont know how big of a tire i can fit in our cars. I like the Crager Quick Trick 1 wheels. If i were to get these what size could i fit it back with what tires would i be able to run on them. Just looking for something to go on. Thanks A Lot. Bobby.

what size are the rims? and do you care about minor rubbing or not? also, do you care about speedo calibration?

Have not picked a size of rim yet, dont know what will fit and look good. How minor is minor rubbing, is there a way to fix this minor rubbing. Nope dont care about speedo, im always going to fast any way. I am wanting this to be a bad-a$$ looking muscle car, you know with small tires in front and the big in the back. Also dontknow it this affects anything but i will soon be adding traction bars, will these interfere with any thing. Thanks. Bobby

Be careful, over sized tires can look stupid if they are to extreme. Point in clue, all the black guys with 9 inch tires sticking out the side that are to big for their caddy.

If you want the big fat tire look you want a 15x8 rim with some drag radials on them. I've got a chart here somewhere that tells me what backspacing you want on the rim and what tire size. I'll have to look for it and post again.

Say I was to run Cragar SS/T Street Super Trick Wheel 15x8's in the back and 15x6's in the front. Witch one would i by there are two opitions for the back. They are:

4.25'' Rear Spacing, 5 on 4.5 - 4.75 - 5'' Multi Bolt Pattern

or

2.75'' Rear Spacing, 5 on 4.5 - 4.75 - 5'' Multi Bolt Pattern; Reverse Offset

And last, i want to run BFGoodrich Comp T/A Drag Radials in back. Witch size tire would i by to fit on these back rims, will it fit on the car with no problems. Also what kinda tire should i run in front?

Thanks A Lot. Bobby

do you want to run a slick or a radial street tire? do you just want wide or wide and tall? do you plan on doing any sanctioned racing with this car? if ya do most will only allow a 10.5" wide rear tire. Most guys seem to run either a 26x10.5x16 or 28x10.5x15 slick, either M/T ET Streets or Hoosier quik time pros. if you want to run just a drag radial, get a Nitto and put it on a normal 16" rim.

I'd like to see some nice pictures of like a 17-18 inch wheel, 8-8.5 inches wide, on a nice flat straight wall and corner with white lettering that fills most of the guard.
Also those fat "drag style" wheels, the kind that "go in" and have a lot of depth 5 spoke if you can =)
Like centerlines
