Re: Friendly Competition For Cleanest Engine Bay!!
No clear coat just a wipe with a microfiber cloth during my cleaning process.
The heads are coming off this winter for porting and polishing, then I will install the new eddie hi-flo manifold and SLP runners I purchased in June which I have already ported and polished (the manifold was a bit*h to polish)...

Almost none of the wiring done, or heater hoses, but it shouldn't get much more crowded than this. Gonna relocate the coolant bottle ASAP.

Re: Friendly Competition For Cleanest Engine Bay!!
It seems some people consider "clean" to be no a/c and very few accessories. I consider clean to be very little grease or dirt, regardless of how much equipment is there.
My engine bay isn't really dirty, but the plenum and valve covers are kinda stained and the strut towers are scratched up. And of course, the yellow stained coolant jug.

Re: Friendly Competition For Cleanest Engine Bay!!
Agreed. Personally, "clean" is a combination of neat and dirtless. To me the number of accessories doesn't matter as long as the wires, hoses, and fasteners are neat and tidy. Everything being painted/polished(or brushed finish) is always a plus. I just don't have a/c because I'd never use it.

Re: Friendly Competition For Cleanest Engine Bay!!
^ looks clean, thats what mine looks like a few posts up the before and after engine swap, you can see my fill cap on the bottom left poking through the nose support panel. i did a write up in the body section of how i did mine for firebird owners, similar to a couple other members. also has a 4th gen coolant/battery tray so gladly, it will still look almost as clean as that after.
