Peeling clearcoat on fender
Any good way to stop the damage and prevent it from spreading? I probably wont be able to paint the car for at least another couple of years, and I'd hate to just have to flat black the whole thing because the paint looks awful.
I'd have just the front fender repainted, but it wouldnt match the rest of the car then....
Can I sand with some 1000 grit or something and feather the clearcoat beyond where it's separating from the basecoat, and then respray some rattlecan clear on it? Or is that gonna make it worse?

If you have the fender professionally repainted and clearcoated it will match 100%.

Oh, I thought your issue was the paint matching. Have you called around to find out the cost? If you prep it yourself why not buy a paintgun and rent a compressor...Do a search, there are alot of threads which discuss how to in detail. Also, check out you tube

I was hoping there would be some easy way, but that's cool, I will look into properly painting it myself.
I just didnt want to repaint my fender to match my faded stock paint which I hope to get repainted in a few years or sooner anyway. Just seemed like a waste.
