What color for the '76

I hope the moderators don't mind that this isn't 3rdgen related but i do own a 3rd gen and this i'm painting my '76 firebird formula in 2 weeks and i was wondering color should i go with it, it already has cragar rims on it also, i was thinkin red or black and also what color red do you think would look good on it, ie: fire engine red, viper red, etc. Thanks guys i'll try to get a picture on here of the firebird in a couple days

I had a 75 Camaro a few years ago, that I restored and got a NICE paint job on. I have to say that after looking at pics trying to decide what color to get - bright red was the one color I personally did not like on the 2nd gen. To me the dark colors are the best looking ones.
Check the pic second from the bottom at this page: http://www.chevyworld.net/msi.html - (Im sorry it isnt a little closer). Those are some pics I took this summer when going to a dragrace in Sweden. That burgundy 75 Firebird was SO awesome!!
On the one that I restored I ended up going with a special paint called "glamour". It was a VERY deep green, that looked black unless in sharp sunlight or fluorecent light, then you could see the green. You can see pics of it at: http://www.chevyworld.net/~ChevyKen and select "Third Car" from the menu.

I had a 1976 Firebird Formula 455 that was bright yellow with amber headlight covers. The licnse plate read "BIGBIRD" It was so tacky!

Next time I get to Mom's house, I'll dig out pics and mail them to you.

She was a mean machine until I lost control on a rainy day. I'm so sad.

I bet you almost anything that macco won't have it... It is VERY expensive, in '95 when mine was painted it was $750/gallon. It is also a very time consuming paint to lay on - and thats not what I associate with macco.
I had some body work done too, and the entire job was $5000, which was "under the table" as well as some other discount deals that we worked out.

Good *** i don't have that kind of money to spend heh. I'm gonna do the body work myself then just have maaco paint it and then i'll wetsand it afterwards. Is there any other colors that would come close to that but not as close as the price tag?
