I looked up the production numbers, and they are as follows. Just wondering. I just bought a mint 92 RS T-top. Dark Red on red, with 68,800 miles. Considering that only white, black, dark red, and bright red cars were outfitted with red interiors, and only 2,776 dark red camaros were produced in 92', do I have a rare find?

do you know the productions #'s on red interior? I really doubt it is that rare. and if it is rare I still dont think it's anything to brag about. The car would be better with black interior. IMO.

 

Every third gen camaro I've ever seen has either a black or gray interior. Thats nothing to brag about either. In my opinion, I would take the more exotic looking red interior. You never see cars with red interiors, black and gray are boring once you see a nice one. I was more so wondering about the dark red exterior color. Thanks

 

Blow off the negative comments, you know what they say about opinions lol. I think that dark red and red combo might bring a bit more money, any time you get a low production number it just means they will be harder to find as time goes on. The bottom line is your car is worth what someone will be willing to pay, if you get a person who really wants that combo they may pay more than for say a white one.

 

That is rare, but if it's KRAPPY condition, it wont matter. Got any pics?

IMO, Red Interior is awsome.

 

Lower production numbers don't necessarily equate to higher dollars when it comes tome to sell.


It all comes down to if someone is willing top pay more for a red vs black interior.

NVM. yah That is worth some $$. I'd keep it though. Thats an awsome car. Your not going to get as much as you would like. $5000 tops if you wait a while. Better to keep it.

 

Thanks guys! It currently has a little over 68,800 miles. I traded in my 88 firebird to make it happen, I had my fun with it. I always wanted a Camaro, and this sort of called to me lol.

 

It's a great find. Done anything to it/have any plans for it?

 

I only plan to put a chrome air cleaner in it, and basically leave it how it is. My friend has a 2010 Camaro SS parked next to me, and pretty much blew me away on the interstate. I'm not really looking to make it fast though, going from a v-6 to the 305 is enough for now haha. It was garaged kept until June of this year when the previous owner sold it to the dealer I bought it from. I'd like to keep as original as possible and bring it to shows.

Nice! I like the paint, its pretty bad ***. And its true! Reasonably speedy. Enough to have some fun.

 

I'm making it Respectably Speedy soon enough. Just got some Nitto NT555 285/40-17s tires in the rear (that about 10" wide FYI), bought a new Dynomax Super Turbo cat-back exhaust, a Hypertech Thermomaster TBI Computer chip, and s of course a shift kit. Many more to come. When I do a few more mods and get it "Legal", I'll start a build thread.

The color is BRM. I had a BRM 92 RS that was 1 of 1. It's rarest options were BRM paint, black interior, and T5.

 

not a fan of red interiors...but its what you like that matters

I had a 89 rs that was close to that color. It was Champagne Burgundy. It has silver and gold metal flakes in the paint. I'll post pic if I can find them (RIP old lady t boned her)

That is so clean- Just don't modify it and keep it as original as you can! Once you bolt something on, you'll probably bolt something else on and so on... ya'know how that will go

 

The air cleaner and exhaust is the only thing i would do to it if i was leaving it stock. Nice RS btw, 305 tbi sound good with a aftermarket catback.

 

Man I love that color you should pull your RPO codes so we can definitively find out what it is. I want it.

car is gonna get repainted completely. ( same color red, silver striper are gonna be painted on it ( 86 camaro silver ) and eyelids will be painted 91 camaro black.

 

I know it's an old thread, but yes, please what is the color called for that interior, it looks the same color as mine. But I don't know which "red" it is... I hear so many different color reds...carmine, flame red, NOS red, etc...

I think interior colors and their rarity in 3rd gens are blown out of proportion. People care more about engine, tranny and exterior color.
