emblempros emblems (Anyone have them?)
I was looking at the stainless steel ones(in black stainless) and since they aren't solid I was slightly worried about the screw holes on the ground effects being visible behind them.
Pictures would be great to ease my mind before I spend near $100 on them!
These are the ones I'm looking at.

Re: emblempros emblems (Anyone have them?)
I have the polished stainless RS emblems on my 92 which I am very happy with. I also had him make a set of custom 383 badges for my 89, they turned out extremely well. Don't worry about the screw holes in the GFX, the badge is actually two pieces and what you get from Emblem Pros will fit in the black plastic frame after you remove the stock piece, the whole thing will cover the screw holes once attached to the car with some adhesive.
My 383 badges, I painted the black piece red and scuffed and painted the original bumper emblem and applied my new ones on top before applying it to the car.

I did. I am working with him. That is one reason why I posted this up. He wants a direct side on picture(large and clear) of a ground effects piece showing the location of the holes, so he can line it up with the dimensions of the emblem and check it out for me.

Yeah, he is. I'm working with Roger directly. he just doesn't have a third gen with the ground effects that he can look at to confirm the holes aren't visible with the emblems installed. Anyone?

Maybe if you cut out a piece of ABS the shape of the depression, then apply your emblems to the ABS. That's pretty much the way it is as stock. Paint the plastic to match the car...

Honestly if your looking to truely one off custom emblems that are of the highest quality... You need to message FSTFBDY. He custom designs and sells BILLET emblems. I have a set of his, and the fitament is perfect with no worry about holes since it is one solid piece of billet aluminum...
these are the pics I have of mine with a black background, and polished lettering

and a dash emblem to top it off

Well post pics of those other ones (sheet metal) when you get them, so we can all see how nice they look.

Re: emblempros emblems (Anyone have them?)
Thanks for the complements.
If your worried about the holes not covered with emblem pros stuff. Fill the holes in with a good 3m body bond. smooth it out. and paint the incert before you put on the emblems.
The emblem Pro set for $50 is a good deal for the budget minded person who just wants replacement emblems.
I can say If mine were set beside those its no compassion of the 2 sets.(apples to oranges) Mine is a 3d billet looking piece. Its exact same size as stockers. Thickness and all. No need to re-use any pat of the stock emblem. Mine is a complete direct replacement.
Few pic's to show the diff.

Re: emblempros emblems (Anyone have them?)
Ended up getting new GM ones all around. My car isn't a "billet" type car in regards to emblems. I'll leave them on my truck.
Thanks for the help though people.

You really need to work on some really nice taillights as I see from the build thread you got going... nobody is gonna see anything but the rear end of that car.

Yeah your car is not the billet type... as a matter of fact you should pack up those Horrible 19" wheels and send them to my house to keep that non customized theme the car has going LOL!

Yeah, I know. just figured with the roadrace look going on, you wouldn't see many roadrace cars with billet emblems. New GMs were more but go with my theme I see in my head.
Yeah, I miss the 19's a LOT! they are in storage while the car is being painted. I can not WAIT to toss them back on!
I did recently clean and polish my lights, but after having smoked and tinted ones, I wanted these to be 100% stock!
