Opinion on carbon fiber paint look for stock z28 hood??

Im in the process of painting my hood since i already have it off the car and painted the inside. So far my plans are to do the heat extractor mod where you cut the fake screen of the blister out and cut a 4"x4" holes in the hood. Since im doing that i was thinking about painting my hood, right now the body of my camaro is red/maroon. I had a few ideas in my head, one was to paint the entire hood gloss black and maybe the blister a different color, and then the carbon fiber paint mod http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qDV5gR90zY. You spray the entire hood black and when thats dry you use a silver then graphite color with the non slip mat and customize it to how you want the look/darkness. It seemed like a pretty cool mod but id like to get some opinions towards it and hear everyone out. Thanks

I just bought a 91 Z28 with the blisters. They are a crap silver, so my plan is to take them off and cast a mold of them to make carbon fiber replacements. THAT will be sick I think!

It will, and also it will be A LOT stronger. When i removed my hood to paint the inside and work my way around i removed the blisters, when removing them as carefully as i could i started to sand them down and noticed the sides were cracked. Since my buddy works on boats, i asked him to fill them, but it still isnt a 100% fix.

I was looking into that, but what concerned me is will it take the form of the areas that lift and drop? Also will it peel, and can it be painted with clear??

I think it will look like fake carbon (bad). The 3M vinyl stuff is probably the best fake carbon out there, but i still wouldn't do it.
